15-year old star of the future, Kalle Rovanpera, has already tested Toyota’s new 2017 Yaris World Rally Car, despite the fact that he is still too young to get a driver’s licence.
Rovanpera, the son of former WRC star, Harri, doesn’t turn 16 until October but has been competing in Latvia this year, where there is no minimum age for drivers in the championship.
He has so far taken four wins, and finished second on the other event.
During a full week of testing in Finland, the young Finn had the opportunity to take the wheel of the new Toyota Yaris WRC.
"Everything seemed to go well. He is a young boy but he drove (the car) very well,” Toyota team boss Tommi Makinen told Finnish media.
