With a new major sponsor being announced recently, the Australian 2WD Rally Master series is about to gain some serious traction.  Gary’s Motorsport Tyres, in conjunction with Dunlop and Hankook, have thrown their weight behind the championship, elevating it into a new and exciting dimension for 2013.

Heading into its third consecutive year, the Australian 2WD Rally Master series has been growing in strength, attracting some of the best gravel rally talent that Australia has to offer.

Former Australian Rally Champion and series developer, Murray Coote said: “The competition at every rally is fast and fierce and each year the series becomes more sort after and desirable to competitors.

"From its inception, the idea was to allow people with talent, not so much big budgets, to shine, show case their skills and compete in a national series among the countries best drivers. Not only do we focus on offering an affordable and achievable series, we work hard on securing great sponsors in order to have significant prize money at each round and for the Championship, making it very attractive for competitors wanting to have a serious tilt at the series,” Coote said.

Round One of the Australian 2WD Rallymaster Series is being run in conjunction with the upcoming Bago Rally on March 23rd in and around Kendall, NSW.

Series administrator, Steve Ross went on to say: “The announcement of Gary’s Motorsport, Dunlop and Hankook Tyres is an exciting development for the series and will be quite beneficial for every competitor.  Gary has always been an affordable motorsport tyre outlet and certainly a great supporter of rallying in Australia.

"Now our competitors will have access to even greater service and deals.  The sponsorship deal is not a Controlled Tyre arrangement, but it is anticipated that the majority of competitors will take full advantage of the quality products and services being made available at fantastic prices, making the series even more affordable and desirable.

"The deal has also allowed us to once again offer up amazing prize money packages for each event, and for the overall 2013 Championship.”

Being committed to covering the whole spectrum of talent in Australia, a Rookie Series has also just been introduced.  The Rookie Category, sponsored by MCA is open to any competitor that has competed in five or less events.  Prizes for the Outright Rookie will include $4000 worth of MCA suspension products plus $1000 cash.
