The Queensland Rally Advisory Panel and the Confederation of Australian Motorsport invites all past competitors, officials, sponsors and friends to a dinner to celebrate 50 years of the Queensland Rally Championship.
A great night is planned with many past champions and competitors planning to attend. A visual presentation is being put together that will be sure to be a big hit with many great old pictures being retrieved from old suitcases and albums from around the state.
A special guest on the evening will be Les Barron the QRC champion navigator from 1963, 1966 and 1967. No doubt many tall tales from the past will be shared on the evening.
Awards for the 2012 MEX Maintenance Software Queensland and Sportsman Rally Championships, Brakes Direct Queensland Hyundai Rally Series and the special Mike Ryan navigator’s awards will be presented on the night. The dinner will be held at Rydges Southbank in Brisbane on February 16 and details are available at Qld Rally.
The dinner will be a great chance to renew and reminisce with past acquaintances, friends, officials and competitors from 50 years of the Queensland Rally Championship.
