The weekend of November 13, 14 & 15 will see Lakes Entrance play host to 100 of the best Classic and 2 wheel drive rally cars and crews in Australia and New Zealand, competing over some of the best rally roads this country has to offer. There will be 350km of competitive stages once again, including the awesome 35km bitumen stage from Orbost to Buchan.
There are several conditions for acceptance of an EOI:
•   The event will be run as a CLUB ONLY event, ALL crew members will need to be a member of the HRA to compete.
•   Crews will need to supply at least ONE official who will require a vehicle and a driver's licence (a current CAMS officiating licence is not compulsory). This person must not have been nominated by anyone else. Service crews who are required to service competing cars are not suitable as they will usually be at the control locations for up to 5 hours. Â
•   To guarantee a position in the Alpine you are required to have competed as a team in at LEAST 3 events counting towards the HRA championship during 2009. This team will then be guaranteed a start, individuals will not.
We are intending to run up to 100 cars this year so there will be considerable vacancies. It is envisaged that Supplementary Regulations will be available by mid-September and they will be forwarded to all those who have registered, at the same time. Â
A major addition to the event this year will be a prologue run over 2 stages on the Friday afternoon. Another difference that crews need to note is that driving suits will be mandatory for both crew members.
