Aaron Bowering and Nathan Lowe have taken a narrow 13 second lead in the Nissan Nightmoves Rally, round three of the Victorian Club Rally Series. Driving a Subaru Impreza WRX, the South Australians opened up a 23 second lead on the first of the event's seven stages, and were never headed thereafter. VCRS leaders, Cody Richards and Matt Dillon, took second place in their Ford Escort after another strong run from second on the road. Richards was lucky to survive a last stage off-road excursion into the shrubbery, and extends his championship lead.

Third place went to Tim and Leonie Clark in a Volkswagen Golf GTi, ahead of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 3 of Aidan O'Halloran and Darren Davison. The top five was rounded out by Phil and Damien Wilson in their Toyota Soarer. An impressive drive netted David Burn and Mitchell Lukasz sixth place in their Hyundai Excel.

Although the event, based out of Heathcote, was run in fine conditions, there was a high attrition rate, with five of the top eight cars retiring. Full results can be found HERE.
