Agreements with existing promoters in NSW and Victoria are no longer current. New or existing promoters are sought for the Australian Rally Championship events in Victoria or NSW for the 2009 ARC season.
An assessment of Expressions of Interest will be made by the Australian Rally Commission based upon the following criteria:
- Demonstrated experience of the promoter in running major events
- Demonstrated understanding of the challenges posed by rally organisation by the promoter and proposed key officials
- Demonstrated ability to build a strong volunteer base to provide sufficient numbers of officials to run the event
- Capacity to organise the event on available dates within the ARC calendar – for 2009 July for NSW and October for Victoria
- Demonstrated ability to present an event with a suitable format
Potential organisers are requested to include in their Expression of Interest a description of the proposed event including the general area where the competition will take place, who the likely key officials will be, what CAMS Car Clubs would be associated with the event and any other details relevant to addressing the above criteria.
Organisers will be required to comply with the organisational and sporting requirements for an ARC event (Available from CAMS). The successful applicant will be required to enter into a promoters agreement with the CAMS commercial partner Rallycorp.
An opportunity may be available for a promoter to be allocated the rights to run an ARC event for multiple years.
Initial Expressions of Interest are to be lodged with the CAMS Rally Manager no later than C.O.B. 27th October 2008 (greater detail can be provided later) at the following address: rally@cams.com.au | PO Box 147, Caulfield East, 3145.
