The Anglomoil SXS (side by side) team of Nathan and Les Chivers are aiming for an outright win in this weekend's Quit Forest Rally after having finished third and second in previous years.

The Sydney father and son duo have been on the pace since entering this category of the ECB Australian Rally Championship and they will be debuting a new Can Am Maverick built by Neal Bates Motorsport.

The ranks of Can Am’s are ledby internationally experienced rally driver, Michael Guest, and Chivers. Their competition comes from the Polaris buggies led by former Asia Pacific Rally Champion, Cody Crocker.

The 600kg buggies will reach speeds of up to 120 km/h on the same stages as the rally cars and the diminutive engine will be at full-revs for as much as 24 kilometres (the longest stage) at a time which is why the team relies on Extreme Performance (EP) lubricants from the 100% owned and operated Australian lubricant manufacturer, Anglomoil.

The Chivers' say this is their favourite event on the calendar and they don’t mind the infamous covering of 'marbles' on the forests roads which have claimed several rally crews over the years.

The Quit Forest Rally starts in the Western Australian coastal town of Busselton on Friday and consists of 187 km of special stages over three days.
