Blue skies and thick Coffs Harbour dust were the key ingredients of today’s Kennards Hire Rally Australia launch.
Leading Australian drivers Molly Taylor, Harry Bates, Brendan Reeves and Nathan Quinn were all in attendance, as was New Zealand APRC front-runner Mike Young.
This year’s Kennards Hire Rally Australia will feature a revised competitive route, with days one and three heading north west of Coffs Harbour, with day two to the south around Macksville and Bowraville, including the popular Nambucca stage.
The event will again feature the Coffs Harbour Jetty super special stage on the Friday and Saturday evenings.
Missing from this year’s route will be the stages further south west, around Taylor’s Arm and Baker’s Creek, with Friday now being concentrated closer to the rally base in Coffs Harbour.
Today’s launch saw incredibly dry and dusty conditions, something competitors and spectators can expect in November when the event hosts the final round of both the World Rally Championship, and the Australian Rally Championship.
