The route for this year's Coates Hire Rally Australia is well advanced, and is expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
Although details of the route are still being kept a tightly-guarded secret, rumours suggest that the itinerary for 2013 is one of the most compact ever in the World Rally Championship - and certainly the most compact in the history of Rally Australia.
The event, to be held from September 12 to 15, will once again be based in Coffs Harbour on the NSW coast, with plenty of new stages promised.
