The Canberra rally team, Innate Motorsport is pleased with the announcement this week that driver Adrian Coppin has been offered a wildcard entry into the final of the Rallyschool.com.au Junior Rally Challenge to be held in conjunction with the Snake Racing Coffs Coast Rally between 12 and 14 October.

The wild card entry follows closely on the announcement that Innate Motorsport is likely to be running a new Peugeot 207 R3t in next year’s Australian Rally Championship.

“The RJRC was my initial goal at the start of the season but I got a bit distracted with my position in the overall 2WD championship,” Coppin said.  “”It will be really exciting to get back into action and battle with the other RAJC crews as we all try to become the junior champion,” he added.

With Coppin’s regular mount, the Ford Fiesta ST150, currently for sale, the team is building a brand new Toyota Corolla Sportivo from scratch, just for the Coffs Harbour event.   The car is being built to PRC regulations and will be a much faster car.

“There is no question that the Corolla will be the fastest car I have driven in my short rally career and the team is very busy at the moment, with only eight weeks until Coffs.  With all that support and commitment, I am going to Coffs to win,” Coppin said.

The Snake Racing Coffs Coast Rally may be Coppin’s last event before the debut of the Peugeot next year.   “I am the best man at a friend’s wedding on the same weekend as Rally Victoria,” Coppin said.  “When I was asked to be best man late last year, the bride and groom agreed to move the wedding back one week to avoid the rally date but then the organisers shifted the event by one week, so clearly I wasn’t meant to compete,” he joked.

The team will be supported at Coffs Harbour by their regular sponsors, Inklab Design Studio, Penrite Oil, Landscape Direct, Total Traction Services and Shannons Insurance.
