The 2008 Great Lakes Rally – the fifth round of the Australian Rally Championship – will move from the date announced last month and will now take place on the 20th – 21st of September.

The August date was originally listed to allow appropriate space for the World Rally Championship round, Rally Australia which was to take place in September. However, due to the substitution of Rally Australia with Rally New Zealand the order of events on the WRC calendar has been changed and sees Rally New Zealand taking place in August.

As such the Great Lakes Rally will move to the September date in order to allow competitors and spectators to attend both events.
