Rallyday 2007 will take place on Saturday September 22 at Castle Combe Circuit in Wiltshire (UK). The 2007 event has been moved to later in the year to avoid clashes with major rallies and other motorsport events. Â
Attractions at this year's event are anticipated to be the most spectacular yet, following very positive meetings between the organisers, World Rally Championship teams and various suppliers to the rally industry. To manage the further growth of Rallyday in 2007, the main paddock area will be extended to meet the annually increasing demand from traders and rally teams.
Additional club display areas are also being introduced to accommodate the anticipated 70+ motor clubs and car clubs which form a major attraction for many visitors. Â
Rallyday 2007 will also see the introduction of a new package for Clubman's rally teams, who want to take advantage of track time to entertain sponsors and teams in their rally cars at a high-profile event, in front of 10,000+ spectators. Further details of the 2007 programme, including the names of the star drivers, teams and attractions attending the show, will be confirmed in forthcoming press releases and listed on the Rallyday website. Â
For anyone not familiar with the event, Rallyday is an annual show which gives visitors a chance to enjoy the spectacle of a wide range of rally cars and rally stars, in an open and spectator-friendly environment. It combines live action on the track with static displays in the paddock, and has something to offer everyone, from the rally enthusiast to a family looking for an enjoyable day out. Â
On-track action comes in the form of professional driving demonstrations, track sessions, rally car rides, circuit parades and a feature rally car stage. Off-track there is a host of displays, where visitors can have a close look at some of the world's most iconic rally cars, those which have made rallying history through the years.
Paddock action revolves around the main event stage, where star guests are interviewed. There are also numerous trade exhibitors, ranging from major car manufacturers to individual specialists offering a diverse array of rally merchandise. Â
Rallyday Interactive allows visitors to do more than just spectate. Whether it be a rally simulator, radio-controlled rally car races or a full-on, white-knuckle ride in a selection of rally cars, there are many activities for people to participate in. Â
