The Australian Rally Championship has received a major boost with news that both Justin Dowel and Darren Windus will be contesting the opening round in Western Australia in April.
Dowel, the 2011 Australian Rally Champion in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9, will drive a Hyundai, and has announced a full program of ARC events.
He will be co-driven by Simon Ellis.
Windus, formerly a factory driver in the Pirtek Ford Fiesta S2000 days, is expected to drive a Subaru WRX in the WA event.
The news comes on the back of both Toyota and Subaru confirming their participation in the 2019 championship.
