The Inspirations Paint Capalaba Hinterland Rally is accepting entries for the first state championship round of the Queensland Rally Championship on September 19.
The hotly contested event will be run on closed forest roads within the Imbil State Forest.
The event is also seeking volunteers. With COVID-19 preventing spectators from attending, the only way to see the incredible machines driven in anger will be as an official. Officials pre-registration is essential and can be made online via the following link (Officials Registration), however, you’ll need to get in quick.
The organiding club, Brisbane Sporting Car Club, have a great reputation with their volunteers, ensuring a good day out.
“We have a solid COVID plan that details some of the things we have to do to be compliant to Motorsport Australia and the Queensland Governments requirement,” said Clerk of Course Mal Bartolo.
“Also, no spectators are allowed, so the only way to spectate is at your very own official road block.”
For competitors, they can expect 10 stages comprising of 110km competitive over some of the best roads around in the Imbil and& Amamoor forestry area. Tight, twisty and challenging through to wide and fast hard packed roads, this area is a favourite amongst many teams.
Camping at the actual event will not be permitted this year due to COVID-19, however this does present a fantastic opportunity for the rally community to give Imbil accommodation providers and the Mary Valley Show Society an economic boost.
