George Woods Trial postponed due to bushfire crisis

As a result of bushfires in the vicinity of Bunyip Ridge and the expected weather next week, the Victorian Rally Advisory Panel has postponed the running of the 2009 George Woods Novice Trial until later in the year.

Organisers of the George Woods Trial are currently in negotiation to run the event in conjunction with the HRA's Gil Davis Memorial in May.  An announcement will be made shortly.
The organising committee are  sure all competitors will understand the reasoning behind this decision and will support the event when  it runs.
 
The VRAP will continue to monitor the situation in the affected area in regards to the Cerberus Stages and will consult with the Area  Co-ordinator and Event Organisers over the next few weeks in regards to that event running.
 
VRAP will be also taking advice from Area Co-ordinators in regards to rallies running in other forest areas in the next few weeks.
