The Victorian was one of rallying’s rising stars in the late 2000s, and was awarded the 2008 CAMS Motorsport Personality of the Year.
He backed up that promise the following season when he won the 2009 Forest Rally in Western Australia, the third round of the national championship.
Driving a Group N (P) Toyota Corolla Sportivo, he led home Eli Evans in a Subaru Impreza WRX, and Neal Bates in his factory-supported Toyota Corolla S2000.

More recently, Raymond took out the 2017 Victorian Rally Championship in a Subaru WRX, and has clearly lost none of his speed.
Now, he has purchased an ex-Race Torque Lancer Evo 9 that has previously been driven by Simon Evans and Scott Pedder.

The car was most recently used by James Rodda in the South Australian Rally Championship in 2016.
Raymond will begin the season by entering both the Australian and Victorian Rally Championship components of the Eureka Rally in March.
From there, he’s unsure of his program.
“I’m not sure to be honest,” Raymond told RallySport Magazine.
“I’ll enter the joint event at Eureka and decide from there, but the priority is fun.
“With that said, a proven competitive car does add to the excitement.”
Raymond has previous experience with his new Lancer Evo 9, having driven it in the Pirelli Star Driver final at Rally Australia in 2009.
On that event he set a top 10 stage time, and was also fastest Production World Rally Championship competitor on one stage.
