Marcus Gronholm has maintained his lead in Rally Turkey ahead of team mate Mikko Hirvonen after trouble again struck Subaru's Petter Solberg.

The Subaru driver was just 4km into the second last stage of the day when he hit a rock, causing him to bounce into a ditch, and there he stayed.  The incident has dropped Solberg from second place to 14th overall.  However, Petter's misfortune has elevated older brother Henning into third place, in his Peugeot.

Australian Chris Atkinson drove a consistent Leg 2 in what have been very difficult conditions.  Fortunately none of the day's stages were cancelled.  Atkinson is now in fourth position, after moving ahead of Katajamaki and Colin McRae, whose tyre selection again slowed him.
