In what could be the last Coffs Harbour-based Rally Australia, two cars that contested the first event in 2011 will also enter the 2019 rally.
It's a story that has come full circle, and one that Gunnawyn Motorsport's John Carney was happy to relate.
"#GunnawynMotorsport has two cars running in Rally Australia: the Getz with Veronica Stack and Jayson Browne, and the Subaru Impreza RS with Michael Boaden and Tracey Dewhurst," Carney said.
"Interestingly, both cars ran in the first Rally Australia in 2011. The Getz with Tony and Nikki Moore, and the RS with John Berne and Tony Love."
Carney was originally going to drive his RS himself, but delays in getting his licence renewed now means that former ARC 4WD rally champion, Michael Boaden, will take the wheel.
It's one of five Subaru Impreza RSs entered in Rally Australia.
Along with the Hyundai Getz driven by Veronica Stack, there are also an impressive nine Hyundai Excels entered in the Rally Australia two-day event.
