The winners of both the four wheel drive and two wheel drive Rallyschool.com.au Australian Junior Rally Challenge categories will be given the opportunity to test in the Mazda 2 under the guidance of the four times Bosch ARC champion, on top of the already staggering prize pool the 2012 RAJC is offering.
Potential competitors only have one more opportunity to qualify for the final of this year's Rallyschool Junior Challenge with the upcoming Scouts Rally SA at the end of July their last chance to make the all important runoff at Snake Racing Rally Coffs in October.
According to Mick Ryan, owner of RAJC major sponsor Rallyschool-.com.au, the G2 spec vehicle is the way of the future for the Bosch ARC and it's important to give rising stars a taste of the pinnacle of Australian rallying.
"It's cars like this that are the future of the championship," said Mick Ryan.
"If you ask anyone in the Bosch ARC if they want to drive the latest G2 ARC car they would tell you they'd cut off their right arm for the opportunity, so we are giving them the opportunity without having to remove a limb, and with the added bonus of guidance from Rallyschool."
With three rounds completed and only one qualifying rounds left before the RAJC finale, Ryan feels a real fight will be taking place in Adelaide.
"There is a strong, competitive field lined up for South Australia. There are guys like Adam Casmiri and a few of the guys that missed out from the opening rounds, it really is their last chance for a chance at a prize of a lifetime," added Mick Ryan.
Scott Pedder, CEO of the Bosch Australian Rally Championship, feels the chance to test a G2 spec will only benefit the future of the series.
"I think it is great that Mick Ryan, Rallyschool.com.au and Simon Evans are giving the chance for the RAJC winners to test a G2 car," Scott Pedder said.
"The G2 specification is the direction we have chosen to take with the future of the championship and by letting the stars of tomorrow behind the wheel of these phenomenal machines, I'm certain they will see the reasons we have chosen to go down this path."
The Rallyschool.com.au Australian Junior Challenge comprises four rounds: Rally Calder, the Quit Forest Rally, the Brakes Direct International Rally of Queensland and Scouts Rally SA.
The respective heat winners and two wild card entries from two wheel drive and four wheel drive will then battle it out at the Snake Racing Coffs Coast Rally in October for a prize pool consisting of: driver and co-driver development at Rallyschool.com.au, a fully paid entry into the Bosch Australian Rally Championship final, Rally Victoria in November and a set of Kumho rally tyres.
An extensive television package has been secured for the RAJC Finale at the 2012 Snake Racing Rally Coffs with a staggering eight hours of coverage being telecast on Network Ten and ONE HD.
A two hour highlights package of all the Coffs Rally action will go to air on Network Ten as well as ONE HD along with a dedicated Rallyschool.com.au Australian Junior Challenge show will also be shown following the event.
