Fresh from the launch of his latest YouTube video sensation, Gymkhana 5, American superstar, Ken Block, has taken an interest in the Summit Rally Team’s test ahead of this weekend’s New England Forest Rally in Maine, USA.

Block’s incredible YouTube video has had over 10.5 millions views in less than three days, but the WRC star was more interested in watching preparations for this weekend’s Rally America event today.

Australia’s Summit Rally Team driver, Will Orders, had a successful test in his rear-wheel drive Nissan Silvia, as he prepares for the third and final event of the team’s Rally America campaign.

Orders won the two-wheel drive category at the Oregon Trail Rally, and is eager to finish the USA adventure in winning style this weekend.

The powerful Nissan is a long way from the four-wheel drive, turbocharged Ford Focus RS WRC that Block uses in the World Rally Championship, but he was interested to chat to Orders to find out all about the Australian-built car.

The New England Forest Rally is based at the Sunday River Resort during the skiing off-season and will feature a super special stage on both Friday and Saturday, July 13 and 14.

The rally is a favourite event among many rally drivers for it’s technical, flowing gravel roads set amongst a picturesque mountain landscape.

Competitors will tackle 11 special stages over the two days of competition, with a total stage distance of over 138 kilometres.
