New Zealand rally driver, Mark Tapper, has five weeks to recover from a broken arm before lining up for Rally Finland.

Tapper, who is this year competing in the Pirelli Star Driver competition, is in Auckland hospital after having surgery after snapping his humorous bone and fracturing the wrist in his right arm.

Tapper told of his woes on his Facebook page, concluding with: "5 weeks till rally finland..! Nothing like a challenge huh."

We wish him all the best for a speedy recovery.
