As the company behind Ford’s assault on the WRC since 1997, M-Sport has an extensive rallying pedigree and the company’s impressive feat is testament to the hard work and dedication of all involved over the past 15 years.
From the Ford Escort through to the Focus RS WRC and the current Fiesta RS WRC, M-Sport and Ford’s relationship has been going strong for 15 years.
Together, the two companies have taken rally car design and technology to new frontiers. Securing two manufacturers titles, 44 wins with the record-breaking Ford Focus RS WRC and, more recently, a podium clean sweep with the all-new Ford Fiesta RS WRC on its official debut in 2011, the relationship is set to bring further successes in the future.
M-Sport Managing Director, Malcolm Wilson OBE said:
“We have had a working relationship with Ford since 1997 and I am glad to say that it is as strong today as it was all those years ago. This is a fantastic achievement for the whole team at M-Sport and the credit goes to everyone, not just on event, but back at Dovenby Hall too.
“It is fantastic for us to reach our 50th win with Ford, but we’re not done yet!”
