The event is once again hosted out of the town of Balingup, approximately two and a half hours south of Perth. The region offers some of the best rally roads in the state, ranging from fast flowing stages to tight and twisty technical stages, all of which draw the best from drivers and co-drivers alike.
The event is round 1 of both the Western Australian Rally Championship and the Clubman Rally Series. State Competitors will travel a total of 313km, with 124km of competitive roads spread over 10 special stages.
The first car is due to start at 11.00am and finish at around 6.30pm. This will mean that state competitors will need lights to complete the final stages of the rally. Clubman Competitors will travel the shorter distance of 152 km, 62km of which will be competitive special stages.
For 2007, there has been a change to the service area. All servicing will be conducted at the Kirup Oval on the South West Highway, approximately 10km from Rally HQ. The start, rally HQ and presentation ceremony will all be held in Balingup, at the recreation centre.
A central venue spectator point is located in the old Grimwade town site, approximately 12km from Balingup. Access is mostly via sealed roads. This point is visited twice during the day.
Due to logging operations in the area, competing cars will be able to be seen for a long distance over a wide field of view. Spectator details will be available from rally HQ.

Officials are needed to assist on the event. If you’d like a private spectator point in the forest, close to the rally action, or can assist in any other way, please contact Richard Yeates on (08) 95372042.
The organisers would also like to thank the townsfolk of Balingup and Kirup, CALM Kirup, the Balingup and Kirup VBF, St Johns Ambulance Donnybrook, the Donnybrook Balingup Shire and all the officials who make the event possible.
