Driving the ex-Michael Guest car, the couple have completed their first season in rallying, and while their best result was 11th outright, they were running as high as fifth outright in the Kuitpo Forest Rally until brake failure forced their retirement with just two stages to go.
For 2007 they plan to contest the whole South Australian Rally Championship, as well as the SA Clubman series.
Vehicle modifications will include a freshen up of the bodyshell, some extra bars in the roll cage, and a little more turbo boost to increase the power of the car.
“We are aiming to place well in the SA Clubman series, and finish in the top 10 outright in the SARC,” Lewis says.
“I’m so glad I got the chance to go rallying - we are totally hooked!” he adds.
The team’s major support comes from Autosport in South Australia.
