For just $100, your special someone will have a chance of winning the petrol head’s prize of a lifetime – and you’ll also be helping one of Australia's rising stars continue her climb through the ranks of world rallying.
The Australian Motor Sport Foundation has organised the ‘Molly Raffle’ to help young Sydneysider Molly Taylor raise funds for her rally program in Europe next year.
The 24-year-old already has a program set to go with international sports management group United Business and Italy’s BP Racing – she just needs some funds to do it, which is what the raffle will help provide.
The winner of the ‘Molly Raffle’ will have the ultimate European supercar and F1 experience, with the prize including busines s class travel to Switzerland for one person, seven nights' accommodation and four days’ driving a selection of 'supercars' (such as Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Porsche) over some of the best roads in the world.
The prize also includes three days in Monte Carlo where the winner will watch the Monaco F1 Grand Prix from a super yacht moored in Monaco Harbour.
Ticket sales close on December 26 with the draw taking place on December 31. The winner will be notified immediately, which will provide an extremely good reason to celebrate on New Year’s Eve!
“I'm so excited to offer such a unique experience as a way of taking my own dreams another step forward, and I'm enormously grateful to the AMSF for making this raffle possible,” says Molly, who is back in Australia from her base in the UK, to enjoy the Christmas season with family and friends.
She’s also chasing some additional sponsorshi p while she is at home. The plan for 2013 is to contest eight rounds of the prestigious European Rally Championship; the aim is winning the two-wheel-drive category of the series.
Tickets are available from Molly's website () with the option of online and offline purchase. As an added bonus, everyone who buys a ticket is eligible for a range of discounts from Molly's existing supporters.
Molly competed this year with United Business and BP Racing, running a Citroen DS3 R3T in four international rallies including two rounds of the elite World Rally Championship. She posted impressive results in all the events, which is why she has been offered a full campaign with the United Business team next year. The funds raised by the raffle will help fund her campaign.
Molly moved to Europe in 2009 to further her rally career and posted some top results in the British Rally Championship. In 2011 she was a Pirelli Star Driver, one of six drivers select ed from an international shoot-out to win a scholarship to compete in the inaugural WRC Academy, a development series for young rally drivers from all over the world.
