Orange Motorsport Engineering boss, Craig Brooks, says that he expects to debut their new Subaru WRX STi in mid-March in preparation for the first round of the Australian Rally Championship in April.
It was recently announced that they will run the factory Subaru for Molly Taylor, but Brooks explains that their expectations will not change.
“With the company backing, it is important for us to maintain the quality of production that we have gotten used to doing,” he told The Advocate newspaper in Launceston.
“We are in the process of building a new car, it will be a new chassis for this particular season.”

The new chassis was required after their existing car was crashed heavily in South Australia last year.
“It is right in the middle of being prepared in Jason (White’s) workshop and we are hoping to leave no stone unturned until we get to testing in mid-March.”
Taylor will then test the car on the Apple Isle, with input, also from Brooks, who drove in the Australian Championship in 2016.

Both Brooks and Taylor have vast experience with the new-style WRX which has seen many heat and round wins across the past three seasons.
"It is important to us that she (Taylor) will be involved a number of times before the testing and it is important she is comfortable in the environment.
“We want to make sure she is really part of the team and we all gel together because this sport is all about the team,” Brooks added.
The first round of the Australian Championship is in Western Australia in April.
