The first round of the 2013 Australian Tarmac Rally Championship, the Mt Baw Baw Sprint, is just five weeks away.

This year’s Mt Baw Baw Sprint will be a multi-stage event utilising the mammoth 30km access road from Icy Creek right through to the Baw Baw summit in multiple stages.

The rally will be run in both directions, doubling your rally kays and adding a technical twist to the weekend’s already challenging tarmac roads. With 220km-plus of twisting alpine roads and almost no liaison distance between stages, it will be a fast-paced and action-filled weekend. Only 25 places remain, so get your entries in quickly!

Remember, for the first time, a Test and Tune Day will be held on the Mt Baw Baw Summit on February 17. The test stage utilizes the steep 5km summit ascent to the main village; this is an amazing opportunity to run the road in your competition rally car prior to the rally with co-driver in tow!

The cost to cover the road closure and Race Solutions staff will be $240 per car, including lunch. Numbers are limited, and priority given to 2012 and 2013 Mt Baw Baw entrants - reserve your place by calling Peter on 0418 337 955

Cars can be stored after the Test and Tune either at the Baw Baw village in an undercover security lot, or Mountain Motorsports HQ in Montrose. Call Peter on 0418 337 955 to arrange storage, and to book your accommodation for the Test and Tune or the Mt Baw Baw Rally, call Mt Baw Baw on (03) 5165 1136.

Round Two, the Lake Mountain Sprint, is confirmed for the 25th – 26th May, 2013. It will encompass 200+ kilometres of special stages, and for the first time will be a multi-stage event. So, for the first time, all four Australian Tarmac Championship rallies are multi-stage events!
