Round 3 of the ECB Australian Rally Championship fires up this Friday (24th May) in Adelaide and local young gun Michael Busby is keen to challenge the top two wheel drive cars and juniors in the rally that runs over the weekend.

Busby will be behind the wheel of the flame-spitting turbocharged Mazda RX7 with co-driver Steve Fisher calling the notes on the fast and unforgiving roads around the hills of Adelaide.

“Steve and I are really keen to get a clean run this weekend and see how we go against the top drivers in Australia. We think that with the right weather conditions and a clean run we can be the black sheep in the pack,” Busby said.

With some previous good results on stages the team has been developing the car for maximum pace and reliability. This round counts towards the Australian Junior Challenge and also the South Australian Rally Championship so a strong result is a must.

“We have a very new sponsor to impress and would like to put on a good show for the spectators and media so keep an eye out for our SiWC branded Mazda,” Busby added.

The new sponsors are a little sheepish about their brand which launches into the motorsport clothing space in July.

Busby is proud to be supported by REVS, Autosport, Kensington Tyrepower and Savanna motorsport.
