Next year’s Southern Cross Classic Rally will move to a new venue after a suitable date was found in the NSW calendar.
To be run along the lines of Victoria’s Alpine Rally, the event will be held on the weekend of June 23 & 24 and will be based at the north coast seaside town of Forster, north of Newcastle.
It will feature some long stages and lots of night-time competition on a wide selection of forest roads in the area.
Plans by the directors, Mike Bell and Mike Cherry, to again take the Southern Cross Rally to new heights are under way at the present time after undergoing several recent changes of direction.
More information on the event schedule and the eligibility of vehicles will be posted on the Australian Classic Rally Association website over the coming months.
