Motorsport Central Rally Team will be joining the 2014 Australian Rally Championship season with brothers Waylon and Jobe Sims in there new G2 spec Peugeot 207 built by Motorsport Central.
After competing in many different forms of tarmac and gravel racing including Targa Tasmania, the Sims brothers are stepping up to the challenging new series. Being involved with motorsport since the age of 5 with karting and tarmac rallying both brothers have an addiction for speed and the love for motorsport.
Working with the crew at Motorsport Central the brothers have just finished their one and a half year build ready for the 2014 season, the Peugeot 207 G2 spec car shows many signs of being an outright winning car.
Starting the car from scratch and basing it entirely around the G2 specifications, the car was then built up and developed into a piece of automotive art. Waylon Sims as the driver looks to push the car to the best of its ability whilst also learning the important skills of the new series and car.
“I know the car can be at the front, having turned every bolt on the car I know its capabilities and on paper the car is up there with the best. I believe the downfall will be gravel experience, I have done a thousands of competitive kilometres in a front wheel drive car but only a small amount on gravel,” Waylon said.
The team’s debut will be at the first round at Canberra, but the car will go through a series of testing days over the next month to fine tune and learn the car.
