Just Car Insurance has signed on as the naming rights sponsor for the ARC Car Club Forum Battle, to be held at Rally Calder presented by East Coast Bullbars.

The ARC Just Car Insurance Forum Battle will see online car club forums go head to head in a series of six on-track events for the title of Australia's Best Online Car Club Forum.

According to Australian Rally Championship CEO, Scott Pedder, the Forum Battle and Just Car Insurance go hand in hand.

"Insurance for the modified cars the Forum Battle attracts is near impossible to obtain but luckily Just Car Insurance specialises in these cars and young drivers," he explained.

"In the past local car clubs used to meet in halls and car parks to discuss new modifications and plan events, now the internet has created national car clubs with the advent of online car forums.

"Now car enthusiasts flock to online forums to compare new wheels, induction kits and body kits and to organise on track events where members come together to compete in reality.

"For the first time in Australia - the online car forums will battle it out for the title of Australia's best online car forum in the Just Car Insurance Forum Battle," said Pedder.

Just Car Insurance business development manager, Simon Jreige, said the ARC Forum Battle is a perfect opportunity to reach the market.

"Many of our customers are tech savvy and are involved in online forums and car clubs. The ARC Forum Battle will be a great way for them to do what they love - talk about their cars and pit their machines against other like minded enthusiasts," he said.

Just Car Insurance caters to performance, modified, privately imported vehicles and young drivers.

"We support all cars and insure virtually all of them and the Just Car Insurance ARC Forum Battle will allow us to engage them online and on the ground by supporting the forums," added Simon Jreige.

Scott Pedder added, "Just Car Insurance is a well known brand name in the insurance market and we are certain its customers will be enthused by Rally Calder presented and the ARC Just Car Insurance Forum Battle."

The Forum Battle is made up of four motorsport based events including Time Attack, Gymkhana, Quarter Mile Sprint and Rally as well as non-track based events including Club Support and Show'n'Shine.

Time Attack will see two drivers from each team on the Calder Park Short Course try and set the fastest time in a fifteen minute track session. Two drivers from each team get two runs on the 750m Gymkhana course, the Quarter Mile Sprint gives four drivers from each team several passes on the drag strip while two-car teams will get four timed passes each of the 2km Calder Park Long Circuit in the Rally section.

Show'n'shine is an off track event where 20 cars from each forum will be judged on how they present their allocated space and the presentation of their cars which will be judged both individually and as a forum.

Club Support will judge which forum gets behind the event the most with each forum given a unique code to quote when buying tickets, the forum which has the most members through the gate will win the award for Club Support.

Each entrant represents their forum as well as themselves in order to find out which forum has the best cars and which gets behind events targeted towards their demographic.

"I've been reading various forums and it's interesting to see the competition unfold with different forums saying they are definitely going to win or a certain car will dominant," said Simon Jreige.

"I'm looking forward to seeing the intense competition between the forums and clubs, there are some great cars entered so it will be tough competition," he concluded.

Entries for the Just Car Insurance Forum Battle have been steady since opening in mid-December with a range of cars entering across the categories.

The Just Car Insurance ARC Forum Battle is part of Rally Calder on March 1-4 which makes up the opening round of the Australian Rally Championship in 2012. Details about the Just Car Insurance ARC Forum Battle along with entry forms and regulations can be found at www.forumbattle.com.au
