The Forestry Corporation of New South Wales have advised that all permits for events held in their State Forests will be suspended until July 1, 2020.
Rallying is ever present in state forests around the country, but the Forestry Corporation's announcement forces rally organisers' hands.
AMSAG have subsequently advised they will be looking to re-schedule their events outside this period.
"We are left with no option other than to postpone the Orange Rally and Coopernook & Tumut Rallysprints," AMSAG President, Michael Bannon, said.
"We will make every attempt to run the events later in the year, pending changes to the current restrictions in place."
This also puts various other NSW rounds on hold for the foreseeable future, if they haven't been cancelled or postponed already.
Organisers and clubs have so far been positive about the re-scheduling of larger events.
