Ouninpohja – 15,000 rally fans can’t be wrong

Ouninpohja. To most people it’s just a weird combination of letters, but for rally fans around the world, those 10 letters represent rallying’s holy grail.

For the first time in several years, the full length of Rally Finland's signature stage was run, offering rally crews 32.98km of twisting, undulating gravel that really is heaven on earth.

On my first visit to the WRC's iconic event we decided to give the famous 'yellow house jump' a miss, and instead headed to the mid-stage spectator point. We weren't to be disappointed.
