Teams will be on hand to discuss Queensland’s exciting new rally series as well as show off their new vehicles. Pocket Rocket Rallying is an initiative of a number of former Gemini Rally Series competitors who were keen to attract the next generation of competitors to the delights of this most exciting form of motorsport.
Using modern, front wheel drive vehicles as a base, the Pocket Rocket Rally Series provides an exciting and competitive platform for experienced and novice competitors alike.
The pocket rockets to be displayed will include a Peugeot 306 S16, a Honda Civic VTi-R and a Renault Clio Sport all specially prepared for gravel rallying.
During the BBQ lunch, the series tyre sponsor will be announced and the series logo unveiled.
Anyone interested in the series is welcome to attend and watch the teams shakedown their vehicles in preparation for this year’s season opener on March 3 at Jimna.
