Two-time Australian Rally Champion, Geoff Portman, and his wife Lisa, have already done their bit for struggling farmers affected by the bushfire crisis.
The Portmans, who were impacted by the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires around Kinglake in Victoria, arranged a hay run to Buchan.
"Given all the help we received after the 2009 fires here, Geoff and I would like to collect up some hay to send to Gippsland," Lisa said in a Facebook post.
"We have a local farmer willing to give a discount price so our aim is to get 100 round bales. If anyone would like to help out with some money please let me know.😘”
The call for help worked a treat, and 99 round bales of hay were sent to Buchan on Thursday.
