This is the story of Nissan’s participation in Group C Touring Car racing in Australia from 1981 to the end of 1984 under the leadership of Howard Marsden.
It tells of the building and development of the Bluebird Turbo as well as the EXA Turbo and of the more than 100 races that were at least begun.
The book is written by team engine man, Derek Rawson, who had continued on from the team’s earlier exploits as the Datsun Rally Team.
Considerable input was contributed by team fabricator and gearbox man, George Smith. There are contributions from our star driver George Fury, the team’s fabricator/welder Peter Anderson, our machinist Barry Bray, and team wheel and tyre man, and truck driver Dennis Watson. Datsun Racing Team driver Roger Bonhomme provided a fine introduction.
It includes more than 220 photographs and diagrams.
