Quinn’s choice could decide Dalton’s 2020 ARC plans

Richie Dalton is still weighing up several vehicle options as the 2020 Australian Rally Championship looms closer. Dalton will drive his Ford Fiesta Proto at next month's ARC test day in Canberra, but the car is also being tested by former national champion Nathan Quinn. Quinn will also test Adrian Coppin's Peugeot 208 AP4 to decide what car he'll use this season. If it's the Fiesta that he chooses, then Dalton will be left a little high and dry.

The Irishman looked set to purchase a highly competitive R5 car, but the sale of that car is still not guaranteed as its owner looks to finalise his own 2020 season plans. While his ARC plans remain up in the air, Dalton has confirmed that he'll drive his new Mk 2 Escort in April's Otago Rally in New Zealand. Dale Moscatt will continue to call the pace notes for Dalton. "With all the uncertainty it’s a bit frustrating at the moment, but hopefully we'll get it all sorted soon," Dalton said.
