A former Canberra driver is working hard on plans that would see him driving either a WRC2-spec R5 or an AP4 car in next year’s Australian Rally Championship. Brisbane-based Adrian Coppin is believed to be working on a deal to drive a RaceTorque prepared Skoda R5, or a Peugeot AP4, in all rounds of the 2018 ARC, except Rally Australia. Coppin, who is part of the Rally Australia organising team, would be co-driven by the experienced Erin Kelly. If the final sponsorship dollars are raised, Coppin and Kelly would start testing the car in December. Should the RaceTorque deal not come together, the pair would drive Coppin’s PRC-spec Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9.

Adrian Coppin's Lancer Evo 9 is one of his back up plans for the 2018 ARC.
