Rally Australia tickets on sale

Tickets went on sale yesterday for the final Telstra Rally Australia to be held in Perth.
 
This year's event will take place from 26 to 29 October 2006, and will be the last chance for Western Australian rally fans to witness the World Rally Championship on their doorstep.
 
A live broadcast by Perth radio station 96fm officially kicked off the launch from Telstra Rally Australia event headquarters, the Sheraton Perth Hotel.
 
Preparations for the final Telstra Rally Australia in Perth are well under way. The opening ceremony on Thursday, October 26 will feature dancers, skydivers, didgeridoo artists and RAAF Hawk Jets. Some of Australia's best known drumming groups will also perform including Australian Navy Cadets, Drum Core, African Drums, WASAMBA, and Sambanistas. With more than 350 performers, it is sure to be an unforgettable opening night. 
 
This year’s line up will include the current World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb and his Kronos Total Citroen team mate Dani Sordo, as well as Ford World Rally Team’s Marcus Gronholm and Mikko Hirvonen, Subaru World Rally Team’s Petter Solberg and Chris Atkinson and OMV Peugeot-Norway’s Henning Solberg (brother of  Petter Solberg) and Manfred Stohl.
