The organisers were recognised with the Community Event of the Year award at the Barossa Council’s Australia Day breakfast last Saturday.
The stage was run twice during the rally. It started the event on the Friday night, and was run again at the end of the first Heat, on Saturday night.
The local community got right behind the event, with local community organisations and sporting clubs setting up stalls at the venue, the Angaston Recreational Park.
The stage will return for this year’s Rally of South Australia, and according to the organising committee, they again plan to keep the entry prices low, and to make changes to the stage that will make it more interesting for spectators.
The Rally of South Australia will be held on July 25-27.
