Australian Rally Championship competitor, Glen Raymond, has been awarded the prestigious CAMS Motorsport Personality of the Year award for 2008 at a black tie function held in Melbourne on Friday night.
Raymond was nominated for the award alongside a host of representatives from all disciplines of motorsport including James Courtney (V8 Supercars), Jim Richards (Biante Touring Car Masters) and Eugune Arundsen (Australian Drift Championship), and gives rallying back-to-back 'Personality of the Year' titles after Sue Evans won the award last year.
Raymond was delighted to win the award and thanked all those who voted for him.Â
"Without the fantastic support of the rally community who voted for me, I wouldn't have been able to win the award," he said.
