The Raymond  Partners Accountants Rally Team (RPART)has gone against the current Australian Rally Championship  trends by announcing a two car team for 2007.

Whilst many teams are  consolidating their 2007 ARC programs, Raymond Partners Accountants Rally Team  has expanded their 2007 program by committing its lead car, crewed by Glen  and Matthew Raymond, to every round of the ARC, as well as committing  last year’s Subaru Legacy to compete in selected ARC events and all Victorian  Rally Championship events.

The development vehicle will be crewed by Stephen Raymond and his accomplished co-driving  wife, Melissa.

When asked why the  team has committed heavily to the ARC and VRC, team owner Roy Raymond  said they had faith in the direction they were heading in.

" Our goal has always been to run a competitive  and sustainable program. ARC organisers, promoters and our sponsors have given us no end of help and support in our first ARC season, and this is how we  repay that support by showing the rallying community in Australia and overseas  that we see a great future for our team in the ARC and VRC.

“When Glen and  Matt achieve the results we and their peers know they are capable of, and  when opportunities for them arise outside of  our team, Stephen and Melissa will  be pushing to fill our lead car position in future ARC campaigns. We see  the VRC as an outstanding competition for them to prepare for the ARC," Roy Raymond added.

When pushed to  reveal details of any "outside opportunities", Roy would only say that the  team had ideas they were trying to bring to fruition, but any comment would be  premature and detract focus from this year’s championship  program.

All of last year’s  sponsors have reinvested in the Raymond Partners Accountants Rally Team  program for 2007.

These  include: Bendigo Bank, Raymond Partners Accountants, JNJ  Electrical Contractors, Quality Site Welding, Albroys Subaru Vic.  Mammi Motors, Vic Parts and  Michelin Motorsport Tyres.

In addition, the  team welcomes Japanese Wholesale Spares on board for 2007.  Japanese Wholesale Spares is a WA-based company who specialise in  shipment of Japanese performance parts Australia-wide for most  popular brands, and will provide the access to quality WRX, Liberty and STI parts and advice the team requires.
