Shamrock Motorsport will compete at Rally Australia in under three weeks armed with a fresh engine in their Ford Fiesta G4.
After turbo failure at the team's most recent round, the Akademos Rally in Victoria, the Activ Rallysport team have rebuilt the car's engine and fitted a new turbo in a bid to challenge the ARC front runners.
Richie Dalton and Dale Moscatt have had a troublesome year in the newly developed G4 car, but with two state wins on the trot, they are full of confidence.
The Fiesta sported a new gearbox and ratios for the Akademos rally - a change which Dalton welcomed.
"The new gear ratios worked really well and enabled us to get the car's power to the ground more efficiently," he said.
The engine is also sporting a brand new paint scheme which pays homage to Dalton's Irish nationality.
Dalton finished Rally Australia in eighth position in 2017 aboard a Skoda Fabia R5.
