Reeves targets Rally NZ in Fiesta

Brendan Reeves will head to New South Wales this weekend to drive the ‘00’ car in the PCYC Night Stages Rally, a round of the NSW Clubman Rally Series.

Reeves will drive his left-hand drive recce car fro 2007, but is already looking to the future for his next event.

“I will hopefully be doing the World Rally Championship round in the Ford Fiesta that I drove in the Whangarei Rally in June,” Reeves said.

“The aim is to get some more experience and exposure, and the challenge of some fantastic roads along the way.”

Reeves will use the Fiesta that he leased from Kayne Barrie Motorsport, and is currently trying hard to source sponsorship to support his WRC entry.

At the Rally of Whangarei, Reeves was easily the fastest Fiesta driver in the field, but a flat tyre and an electrical problem ruined any chances he had of a class victory.
 
“After such a great event there last time, we are hoping for a similar experience again,” he added.

Rally New Zealand takes place in late August.
