The Mt Stuart Sprint in Townsville is only two days away with a quality field of 13. The interest has become more wide spread thanks to Keith Callinan (KC) spreading the word, which has resulted in Greg Sutton – Mazda RX7, and Laurie Burton - 1969 TVR Tuscan from Canberra entering.

Other notable entries are Marcus Nuutinen - 2009 Skelta G-Force from Rockhampton, Russell Newman - Nissan R35 GTR and Ryan McLeod from Racer Industries on the Gold Coast has entered a Turbo Holden Astra for his first tarmac rally after many years of circuit racing. His co-driver for the event is Steve Owen, 2008 Fujitsu V8 Supercar Champion.

Defending champ Daniel Callinan must reckon the competition is a bit tougher this year as he has enlisted the aid of his mum, Mary-Anne, as co-driver.

Stuart Titheradge Evo3 from Maroochydore will have his work cut out to try and go one better than last year with the quality of competitors in the field this year.

Add in Gary Meehan from Cairns, along with the locals from Townsville and it will be hard to pick a winner, but if the word from the competitors from the last two years is anything to go by every one is a winner on this piece of road.

Keith Callinan has volunteered to do zero car in his new W427 Commodore. All details for the event are on the Townsville City Autosports Club website: www.tcac.net.au
