The MRF South Australian Rally Championship finally gets underway this weekend with the running of the PMD Race Products Forest Sprint.
The compact event will be based out of the South East Automobile Club Motorsport Park, with reconnaissance on Saturday afternoon, followed by three stages at the park on Saturday night.
On Sunday, a further three special stages will take place in the forest – all 8km in length – before a super special stage around the motorsport park.
All Sunday stages will be repeated three times.
Leading the 34 car field away from the start will be the Subaru Impreza WRX of Zayne Admiraal and Matthew Heywood.
The pair will come under strong pressure from Guy Tyler's Lancer Evo 9, Aaron Bowering's Subaru, and another Subaru in the hands of Jamie Pohlner.
The top seeded first two-wheel drive car is Matt Selley's Ford Escort at car six.
The second half of the top 10 consists of Dale Cagney (Evo 6), Paul Heenan (Galant VR4), Rob Hunt (Evo 6), Neil Gehan (WRX) and Paul Wilson in a toyota Soarer.
"I'm very happy to have one of the biggest fields in a long time for an SARC round," Clerk of Course, Kevin Raedel, said.
"There are so many quick 4WD and 2WD cars – the event will be awesome."
