Western Australian, Toni Feaver (right), will call the pacenotes for Orders in his Nissan Silvia as they embark on one of the most ambitious rally programs an Australian team has ever put together.
With backing from Australian company Summit Innovations, the Summit Rally Team will run a two-car team in three rounds of the Rally America series, with Orders and Feaver also contesting the legendary Pikes Pike Hill Climb in Colorado.
The team’s second car will be driven by brothers, Ross and Scott Allan.
Toni Feaver is one of the country’s most sought-after co-drivers, having taken many victories in both gravel and tarmac rallies over a career that started in 1995.
She won the Australian Junior Rally Challenge in 1998, and has followed that success with state championship event victories and outright wins in tarmac rallies s, including Classic Targa Adelaide.
She has also contested international events such as the Rally of Great Britain, Rally Ireland, and rallies in Asia. She has contested Australia’s round of the World Rally Championship on 10 occasions, and New Zealand’s round on a further two.
Her teaming with Orders in 2012 sees them rekindle an in-car partnership that began seven years ago.
“I started competing with Will in 2005 in the Subaru Impreza RS Challenge, and then in 2006 we competed in the BP Ultimate Challenge,” Feaver said.
“We finished second in both, and then in 2007 we stepped up to the outright category in an Impreza WRX STI, but funding cut that year short.
“Sitting alongside Will in 2012 and experiencing rallying in America, and the iconic Pikes Peak, will be a real career highlight,” she added.
Orders is excited to have Feaver back in the car in what will be an exhilarating program for Summit Rally Team.
“Toni is one of the best in the business, and to have her along for the ride in the USA this year will be fantastic,” he said.
“We’ve had some great results in the past, and with our brand new Nissan Silvias we’re hoping for similar success in the US events over the coming months.”
Summit Rally Team’s container, loaded with the two team cars and all their equipment, left of for the United States last week.
The team’s first event will be the Oregon Trail Rally in Portland, Oregon, from May 4-6.
