Surprise last-minute entry for Eureka Rally

There’s a surprise, last-minute entry in this weekend’s Eureka Rally at Ballarat, in the Peugeot 208 Maxi that Mark Pedder used in 2016.

“It’s a very long story, but basically Vauxhall pulled out as they have no money,” Windus told RallySport Magazine.

“I’ll be competing in the Eureka Rally in the Peugeot Mark Pedder used in the ARC last season.”

Asked if this was now the first event of a season-long campaign in the car, Windus replied “unfortunately not”.

“I think this might be a one-off.

“It’s been a real rush to get the car here, and I’d like to thank Pedders and Race Torque Engineering for the opportunity to drive the car.

“Hopefully the car arrives in time for us to contest shakedown this morning,” Windus said.
