Driver Mark Butcher and co-driver James Heinrich will be occupied writing “pace-notes†on Tuesday and Wednesday which allow the team to have accurate information about the roads during the weekend.
Thursday night will see the event kick into full swing with the worlds best drivers taking on some of Australia’s best at a spectator stage located around the town of Murwillumbah in Northern NSW before heading into the forest on Friday. The event concludes on Sunday and as one of only 18 Australian crews and recent good results in the Tasmanian Rally Series – the DSA team are very keen to be among the top Aussies.
“Its been a tough few weeks getting the car ready and trying to make the most of our limited budget – but we are here now and can start to focus on the actual event. The team of mechanics have all volunteered their time to come along and I am very lucky to have a quality team of young guys and girls looking after me and the car for the weekend†said driver Butcher.
The team will be promoting a range of Advanced Driving Courses during the rally and invite any spectators to speak to the crew about courses that are available. As one of Australia’s only nationally recognised providers of defensive driver training – Driver Skills Australia are specialists in delivering training to corporate groups, government departments and individuals.
