Molly Taylor has achieved her goal of finishing the difficult Ulster Rally in Northern Ireland this weekend and has now returned to the top of the Swift Sport Cup Series leaderboard.

Despite some clutch problems which resulted in gear selection issues, Taylor relished the chance to get some more tarmac miles under her belt.

Taking a cautious approach throughout the rally in order to guarantee a finish, Taylor put in a consistent performance throughout the rally, finishing as the fourth Suzuki Swift. With the valuable points gained, Taylor has regained the Series lead with just one event remaining. She sits just one point ahead of her nearest rival and two points clear of the third placed driver.

Speaking after the rally, Taylor said, “It all comes down to the final round in Yorkshire – whoever wins Trackrod wins the championship, it's time for maximum attack.”

After her successful international debut at the Trackrod Rally last year, Taylor will go into the event with plenty of confidence. The event will be a welcome return to gravel, and it will be the only rally of the Series on which she has previously competed.

The Trackrod Rally Yorkshire will be held on September 26.
